Resources for Getting Out of Debt
Getting out of debt is extremely tough sometimes. In our searching for advice and knowledge on finance and getting out of debt, I’ve found a lot of useful sites and tools. I’ve put together a short list of some of the best tools we’ve found to help you get out of debt and plan for your financial future.
Dave Ramsey
Dave Ramsey is a financial expert and radio host that has a nationally syndicated show about living without debt. He’s a large part of the motivation behind this blog and our journey to becoming debt free.
Dave Ramsey’s Websites:
Mint
Mint.com is a free personal financial management website. It aggregates all your accounts (including bank accounts, mortgages, loans, credit cards and investments) and crunches the numbers to give you a number of different customizable reports that show your income and expenses.
I really like Mint both because it’s free and because it’s good.
Credit Karma
Credit Karma offers a free credit score, and can track trends showing you the increase or decrease in your credit score over time. The service also offers useful financial tools and calculators, as well as offers from “partners” (which is how it’s a free service.)
Tip’d
Tip’d is a new website that lists recent articles and blog posts about finance, including tips and tricks, news, ideas, etc.
